The right platform
If you already work with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, a lot speaks for Azure; for other projects AWS may be the better choice. We compare services, prices and the knowledge already in your team and explain our recommendation in writing.
Accounts, permissions and network
A foundation often called a landing zone: separate accounts or subscriptions for production and test, roles instead of shared logins, multi-factor sign-in and private networks. We describe it with Terraform so that it stays traceable and repeatable.
Costs under control
Budgets and cost alerts, right-sized instances, reservations and switching off test systems outside working hours. Tags show which application causes which share of the bill.
Regions in Germany and the EU
Both providers run data centres in Frankfurt. We place data and backups deliberately in regions in Germany or the EU and document which service processes data where.
Managed services where they make sense
Managed databases such as Amazon RDS or Azure Database for PostgreSQL, container services and object storage take routine work off your team. We use them where the extra cost compared with running things yourself pays off.
AI services in your own cloud account
With Azure OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock you use language models through your existing cloud account, with its contracts and permission management. We set up access and connect it to your applications.

Questions about AWS and Azure
Is AWS or Azure cheaper?
There is no general answer. List prices are similar; the difference comes from discounts, licences you already own and how well the resources match the actual load. We calculate your application on both platforms and also compare running it on your own servers.
May we store personal data on AWS or Azure?
Many companies do, with a region in the EU, a data processing agreement and documented data flows. Whether that is sufficient for your data is something to clarify with your data protection officer. We provide the technical facts for that and implement the requirements.
How do we keep cloud costs under control?
With budgets and alerts that report rising costs early, tags that assign every expense to an application, and a regular look at unused resources. Forgotten test systems, oversized instances and old snapshots often add up.
Can we switch between AWS and Azure later?
Yes, but the more provider-specific services an application uses, the more effort it takes. With containers, Terraform and open databases such as PostgreSQL, a later switch stays much easier. We weigh this up with you while the setup is being built.
