FibuBookkeeping with AI

Bookkeeping with AI that runs on your own server.

AI reads every receipt, payments from all accounts land in one list, and the VAT follows from business payments. Database and archive stay on your own computer or server.

AI reads receipts

Date, supplier, invoice number, VAT ID, net, VAT and gross per tax rate, from a PDF, a scan or a photo.

Payments are the truth

Bank statements of all accounts, PayPal and cash in one list. Receipts are attached to payments, not the other way round.

VAT from business payments

One calculation for the screen and the export: output VAT minus input VAT, from payments marked as business only.

Receipts read by AI, checked by rules

Fibu reads the important fields from every receipt and checks that net plus VAT gives the gross amount, per line and in total. If something does not add up, the receipt is marked for review instead of guessed.

  • Several tax rates on one receipt
  • Metadata bound to the file by its sha256 checksum
  • Original file kept, archive copy with a clear name

Bank reconciliation in one list

Statements come in as camt.053, CSV, MT940 or PDF, with a balance check. Fibu matches payments and receipts by amount, date, IBAN, reference and name, as automatic, suggested or confirmed.

  • Business, private or ignore per payment
  • Rules per counterparty
  • Cash runs through a virtual cash register

VAT per month and year

The VAT view adds up output and input VAT from business payments, by payment date. The same calculation feeds the export.

  • Issued invoices with payment status
  • Export as XLSX, JSON and a DATEV booking file for the tax advisor

Find any receipt again

One search across receipts and payments, and a tile view with large first-page previews. An audit command checks every file against the database.

  • Full-text search across receipts and bank
  • Tiles with large previews
  • Backup as a snapshot of database and archive

Privacy and security

Where your figures live.

Fibu runs on your own computer or server: the database is a file and the archive a folder. To read a receipt, its text or page image goes to the AI provider you set.

Privacy policy for Fibu

On your own server

Database, archive and settings in one folder. The app itself listens only locally; access goes through your own reverse proxy.

AI provider of your choice

Google Gemini by default, or Anthropic or OpenAI. Receipt text, or the page image of a scan, is sent when you start an import.
