Turn speech into text, translate it, rephrase it.
Speak a message, a note or an e-mail. Loma turns it into text, translates it in the same step if you want, and copies it to the clipboard, ready to paste.
Dictate instead of typing
Tap the microphone, or press Ctrl+Space on a computer: Loma records and turns the recording into text with AI.
Translate in the same step
Choose a target language and get the original and the translation together. Many languages, and the spoken one is detected automatically.
Refine: a different tone
If you want, Loma suggests a corrected version and variants such as friendly, professional or concise.
Record, convert, copy
One tap on the microphone starts the recording, the next one ends it. Loma shows each step from recording to transcription to copying and puts the finished text on the clipboard.
- Pause, resume and cancel while recording
- On a computer with Ctrl+Space
- Pick the microphone, with a level meter for every input
Translation into many languages
Loma detects the spoken language itself or uses the one you set. With a target language you get the original and the translation together, and your recent languages are at the top.
- Automatic language detection
- Recent languages in one row
- Languages from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa
Refine: corrected and in a different tone
With Refine switched on, Loma suggests a corrected version and rewrites the text in several tones if you want, such as friendly, professional or concise. When translating, each variant shows the back translation in your language.
- Original, translation and variants in one view
- Edit, copy or share every version
- Switch Refine on or off in the settings
One history on all devices
All recordings of an account are in one history, whether you recorded in the browser or on Android. Search, favourites and tags suggested by the AI help you find them again.
- Search across all entries
- Favourites and tags
- Light and dark theme
Android: a record button over every app
The Android app adds a floating record button over other apps, a tile in Quick Settings and its own keyboard that types the recognised text into any text field.
- Floating button: the text goes to the clipboard
- Loma keyboard for dictating into any text field
- Control the recording from the notification

What happens to your recording.
For transcription Loma sends the recording through our server function to OpenAI, or to Google Gemini as a fallback. The texts are stored in your account; in the current version the audio file stays on the device you recorded with.
Speech recognition, translation and Refine run through OpenAI, with Google Gemini as a fallback. The "Whisper" model in the web app converts on our own server in Germany instead.
Transcripts, translations and variants are stored in your account at Supabase in Ireland, so that you see them on all your devices.
In the current version our server does not store the recording itself. It stays in the browser or in the app until you delete it.
